The Problem
The rear yard faced challenges with standing water after rainfall, as large areas remained saturated for extended periods. Poor grading and a lack of a defined drainage outlet caused water to pool near the home and along the fence line, leading to:
- Persistent ponding
- Unusable lawn space
- Risk of water migration toward the foundation
Our Solution
To address these issues, we designed a subsurface drainage system that intercepts and redirects water away from the property. The key components of our drainage system installation include:
- Perforated drainage pipe
- Clear stone bedding
- Geotextile wrapping
- Regrading to promote positive drainage
Execution
We completed excavation to install the drainage system at the proper depth and slope. The pipe was placed within a clear stone trench and wrapped to ensure long-term performance. Final grading effectively directed surface water into the system.
The Result
As a result of our backyard flooding solutions, the backyard is now fully dry and usable, with no standing water after rainfall. We achieved improved drainage performance and provided long-term protection for the property.
