Rear Yard Swale & Infiltration System
Overview
Engineered surface and subsurface drainage solution was designed and constructed to manage rear yard runoff and eliminate persistent water accumulation.
The Problem
The rear yard experienced surface water buildup after rainfall, with runoff collecting in low areas and no defined drainage path.

Our Solution
A combined surface swale and infiltration system was designed to direct and manage stormwater effectively.
The system included:
- Rear yard swale to direct flow
- Surface infiltration system
- Clear stone for subsurface storage
- River rock finish for surface drainage and aesthetics
Execution
A swale was constructed to direct surface runoff toward a designated infiltration area. The infiltration system was built using clear stone to allow water to disperse into the underlying soil. River rock stone was placed overtop to provide a durable, functional, and visually clean surface finish.
